“Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent." - Victor Hugo
At the heart of music education is the conviction that music forms an important role in education. God has given us the gift of music and students are taught to appreciate this gift throughout their entire experience at The Oaks.
Instrumental and vocal skills are developed in the early grades. Older students participate in the all- school choir as well as smaller ensembles grouped together by age. Students can also elect to participate in our Madrigal ensemble choir.
Each week at The Oaks is started and finished with Cantabile. This is an all-school assembly in the gym where we join with staff and parents to sing God's praises and pray together as a school. Cantabile is held every Monday morning at 8:00 am and Friday afternoon at 2:30 pm. Guests are welcome to attend.
Every year, Oaks' students work to perform outstanding drama productions through theatrical plays. Below is a listing of plays performed during the school's history.
Oliver! The Musical
The Twelfth Night
Jeeves in the Springtime
Cheaper By The Dozen
Kingdom Come
The Importance of Being Earnest
